ABOUT US
Studio Hayes was founded by interior architect Deirdre Hayes. Born and raised in Ireland, Deirdre developed a passion for art and design from an early age. After earning a BA (Hons) in Interior Architecture & Furniture Design in Dublin, she combined her love of travel with design, building an international career that has taken her from Ireland to Sydney and London.
She has led the design of award-winning social entertainment venues, boutique hospitality concepts, and large-scale commercial redevelopments. Her experience bridges both sides of the industry, having worked client-side for global hospitality brands and within leading design studios, giving her a rare dual perspective that combines creative ambition with commercial insight.
At Studio Hayes, every project is director-led and collaborative. Deirdre works closely with clients to understand their story and goals, creating interiors that are purposeful, beautifully crafted, and connected to their brand.
Her belief is simple: well-considered spaces have the power to bring people together, to engage and tell stories, evoke emotion, and stand the test of time in an ever-changing world. The result is multilayered interiors that are genuine, original, and crafted to inspire.

At Studio Hayes, we believe great interior design goes beyond how a space looks. It’s about how it works, feels, and connects people.
Every project begins with curiosity, exploring your vision, your audience, and the story you want to tell. From there, we define clear strategies, shape strong concepts, and develop interiors that balance creativity with commercial and operational needs.
Collaboration is central to our process. We work closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure each project is delivered with care, originality, and precision, whether it’s a boutique refurbishment or a large-scale rollout. With a meticulous eye for detail, we create interiors that not only look distinctive but also work beautifully for the people who inhabit them every day.
While sustainability is an ongoing journey, environmental responsibility is integral to our work. We take a mindful approach to materials and process, specifying FSC-certified timbers, low-VOC finishes, and durable products designed to last. By favouring local makers and considering the full life cycle of a space, we aim to make thoughtful design choices that minimise environmental impact wherever possible.
We are a SBID accredited interior design practice (Society of British and International Interior Design) recognised for professional standards and ethical design.
